Since we hadn't had any rain, there wasn't any pool of water in the canyon where the petroglyphs are. They say the petroglyphs are anywhere from 700 to 1,100 years old.

It was a great hike and can't wait to do it again. We decided it's 6 hours total from the front door of our house, to hiking, and back to our front foor again. Basically an all day event. We almost didn't make it back to the trailhead before it was completely dark. Garrett was soo tired he fell asleep in the backpack again. Liz's mom slipped and fell a few times on the way back to the car, but no injuries.
