Liz is doing much better today. She's now able to get up and walk around. Breast feeding has had a few challenges, but it's getting better and we're confident that we'll have no problems. The Lactation Specialists have been awesome! Garrett now has a rash all over his body. I forgot what it's called, but it it normal and will be going away within a week or so. It really shows up when he gets mad. He does has a large lump on his head from problems in the birth canal and it's expected to go away within a month. He's now 8 lbs. 4 ounces, so he's been having good poopies.

We're very happy.

Garrett Robert Morris has arrived!

Garrett arrived sometime around 2:45 MST (3:45 CST) today. He was showing signs of distress, so they ended up having to do a c-section. He weighed in at 8 lbs. 12 oz. and is 21 1/2" long. During the surgery, the doctor kept saying "wow what a big head." It was pretty funny.

Liz is doing great. She's very tired. I came home to let Dad and Carolyn in the house and to download movies and pictures. Also got a shower in. Going back tonight to sleep with Garrett and Liz.

He has a pretty deep cry. Dad kept saying how much he looked like me at newborn. As the hours go by he looks less like me at newborn, I think. We'll see as these first few days go by.

I tried uploading a movie of him being measured, but the blog doesn't seem to be responding tonight. Will try in the next few days.

Baby's room finally finished

We just need to put his dresser in there (tomorrow) and his crib will be bought probably next month.

Being the camera geek that I am, I'll tell you that the white balance on the photos is a little off. The light made the room more yellow than it really is. So the color saturation, etc. is a little misleading, but you get the idea.

Garrett Morris - 37 Weeks

We had the ultrasound this morning. We have 30 some photos. For a long time his arm was blocking his chin. Once his foot was in his face. Right now he’s head down, on his left side facing Liz’s right side. The one photo shows a dimple in the chin. Technician says he has big hands and feet. The technician also pointed out that he has wuite a bit of hair on his head. So we'll see.

36 Weeks

Now that Garrett's room is bare (I'm getting ready to work on the ceilings and paint the walls), we shot a few with the white walls and a few with the black sheets in his room.

Baby Shower II

Liz and I took a few more pictures last night and some of Liz's friends gave her a baby shower today. We definetly have enough clothes now.
